From I-79, the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Route 19 in the Cranberry Township area


  • Follow signs to Route 228 east and travel for 9.5 miles.
  • Turn left at the intersection of Route 228 and Route 8 north and travel for approximately 2 miles.
  • Turn right at the traffic light and travel on Route 228 east for approximately 5 miles.
  • At the fork in the road, stay to the left and continue to Saxonburg Boulevard for less than 2 miles. Saxonburg Boulevard turns into Pittsburgh Street.
  • Continue on Pittsburgh Street until you see the Saxony Health Center on your right; then turn right onto Horne Avenue.
  • Follow Horne Avenue a few blocks until it intersects with Rebecca Street. At that time, Horne Avenue turns into Alwine Road. Continue straight onto Alwine Road, and you will see the building to your right. 

From Pine Township/Pearce Mill Road area


  • Take Pearce Mill Road north until you reach the T-intersection with Warrendale Road.
  • Turn left onto Warrendale Road (red belt) and travel for approximately 0.25 miles.
  • Turn right on Mars-Warrendale Road and travel for approximately 2 miles.
  • Turn right at the traffic light onto Route 228 east and travel for approximately 5 miles.
  • Turn left at the intersection of Route 228 and Route 8 north and travel for approximately 2 miles.
  • Turn right at the traffic light and continue on Route 228 east for another 5 miles.
  • At the fork in the road, stay to the left and continue to Saxonburg Boulevard for less than 2 miles. Saxonburg Boulevard turns into Pittsburgh Street.
  • Continue on Pittsburgh Street until you see the Saxony Health Center on your right; then turn right onto Horne Avenue.
  • Follow Horne Avenue a few blocks until it intersects with Rebecca Street. At that time, Horne Avenue turns into Alwine Road. Continue straight onto Alwine Road, and you will see the building to your right. 

From Richland/Shaler area and the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Butler Valley, exit number 39)


  • Take Route 8 North to the intersection of Route 8 and Route 228 East.
  • Turn right at the traffic light and travel on Route 228 east for approximately 5 miles.

  • At that “T,” turn right onto Rebecca Street; drive past DuCo Ceramics on your left.
  • Then, take the first left onto Alwine Road. 

From areas north and Kittanning using PA-28 and PA-356


  • Take Route 28 south.
  • Take the Route 356 exit, number 17, toward Butler/Freeport.
  • Turn right onto Route 356.
  • Turn left onto Riemer Road.
  • Turn left onto Alwine Road. 

From Slippery Rock and areas north


  • Go to Route 8 and head south.
  • Proceeding south on Route 8, turn left onto Dinnerbell Road.
